I LOVED this session at Wildberry Farm Market! Having a wildflower farm all to yourself is such a privilege and this family of 4, soon-to-be-5, plus their dog were a joy to photograph there. Mother and daughter borrowed dresses from the studio wardrobe and I think they paired perfectly with the whimsical feel of the wildflowers.

Over the years I’ve driven (and flown!) all over to get to fields of sunflowers – fields like these are some of the most magnificent things to see in real life. For the first time ever, I’ve booked a flower farm so we’ll have the whole place to ourselves! That means freedom to run and play with social distancing for a session in the blooms.
We have just 4 sessions open with the sunflowers at Seven Petal Farm in Whiteford, MD!
Friday, August 14, 2020 $300 15 minute sessions 3 digital images Seven Petal Farm 4309 Cooper Rd. Whiteford, MD 21160
We’ve rented the farm so we’ll have the place to ourselves with plenty of room to play 🌻 15 minutes is the perfect amount of time to capture a family portrait, couples, maternity or child milestone. Your session will result in a minimum of 20 images in an online gallery – you can choose your 3 favorites to download or purchase additional images. There’s no obligation to purchase additional prints or products, but if you wish to prints start at $19 and individual digital images are $39 each or upgrade to get the full gallery for $379. Visit our backyard where realistic lightning bugs flicker, fade and light up like real life!
We’ll be distanced and masked so you can be safe as we capture the wonder and excitement of catching lightning bugs at dusk.
Sessions last about 15 minutes and include your choice of 3 digital images. Your online gallery will have at least 10 images from which you’ll choose your favorites and have the opportunity to purchase prints or digital images. Additional purchase is not required.
You should expect realistic images – although photoshop may give the option for exaggerated fireflies, we’ll keep these images closer to real life.

“Where do we get school portraits for the 2020-21 school year?”
The 2020/21 school year is going to look so much different in so many ways. Even as a photographer, I buy a package from our school’s portraits every year and we love the tradition. Whether you are homeschooling or virtual schooling, we still hope to mark the time. For one week only, we’ll host in-studio sessions so you won’t miss out on this yearly tradition.
Join me for a socially-distanced school portrait in our Pasadena, MD studio this September.
Sessions will last 15 minutes and you should expect a standard school-style portrait as well as a few extras with a little more personality, true to our style. The backdrop is as shown in this post.
These sessions are for all school-aged children – Pre-K to High School Seniors.
Families with more than 3 siblings, please book 2 appointments.
Sessions are booked with breaks in order to sanitize. There will be only 1 family in the studio at a time and the photographer will be wearing a mask.
$50 session fee reserves your immediate family’s time in the studio, the photographer’s time, cleaning protocols as well as retouching. The session fee does not include prints or digital images. All products including digital images are purchased a la carte from an online gallery available 2 weeks after your session.
Pricing:
The session fee does not include prints or digitals. Prints in popular sizes and digital images are available for purchase in your individual online gallery. Additional sizes, wall art and products are also available – just ask!
A one pose package including (1)8×10, (2)5×7 and (8)wallet prints is available for the discounted price of $75.
When this sweet baby’s parents hoped for newborn photos in moss, marigold and navy blue, I was elated. Those deep earth tones are some of my favorite colors. This little love is almost 10 pounds, 3 weeks old and full of personality! She came to to our Pasadena, MD newborn studio for a 2 hour newborn session this week and I’m thrilled with the results.
Planning wardrobe for your summer portrait session in Maryland can be a daunting task but we offer styling at no additional cost. My heart is in making portrait sessions a genuine memory that’s worthy of recording and that’s hard to do when it’s a stress-filled event.
We worked with this couple to coordinate an androgynous/masculine-of-center style with a dress from their closet.
Let’s take the stress out of planning – give us at least 6 weeks notice and send your general style/inspiration, your sizes and budget. We will shop for you and send links – we favor easily accessible stores like Target, Old Navy, H&M and Amazon but also shop smaller online boutiques.
In addition to shopping, we do have a feminine wardrobe available for borrowing in the studio. I find most often the masculine styles can be more day-to-day wearable so I aim to keep the studio wardrobe stocked with clothes that are likely to get one time use for images. The current selection ranges from XS-4X. Complimentary appointments are available to try on and select options to borrow.
Gown by Reclamation available to borrow – Size XS-XL and pregnancy.
Two more sessions with the Reclamation gown. Girls dresses also available to borrow from the studio.
Black slip dress fits M-XL. Lace gown fits size L-4X and pregnancy. Both available to borrow from the studio.
When you’re shopping for your own family here are a few guidelines that help – keep in mind these aren’t rules, just general ideas:
Choose earth tones and neutrals. Moss, Olive, Burgundy, Navy, Pumpkin, Mustard are my favorites. Jewel and pastel tones are less likely to match my style but if they are yours, go for it. Avoid all neon tones in accessories and accents.
My style is casual – pick clothes that will be weather appropriate and comfortable. I love classic baby and toddler styles.
Go with natural fibers, especially for kids. Cotton, denim, linen, muslin are comfortable and typically cool enough.
Shoes matter. I love barefoot families but often we find broken glass on the beach or itchy grass in other locations. Avoid athletic shoes and opt for styles that are easy to walk in. Most often on location sessions are not a good match for heels.
Rather than accessorizing, look for fabric with movement. Jewelry and hair accessories can be distracting but fabric with movement adds dimension to an image.
Plan for make-up and hairstyles that look like you. Picture day is not the best time to try a new look – you want the images to look like you. Professional make-up can be the best investment you make on picture day – I highly suggest Melissa Collazo.
I worked closely with this client to style complimentary outfits. Wardrobe purchased from H&M, Target, Old Navy and Amazon. 18 mo. romper available to borrow from the studio.
4 years ago, I photographed Nico’s big brother and it was so special to work with this family again. Truly, it’s an honor to see tiny babies grow up. You can see Emilio’s newborn session by clicking here – are they twins or what?
