It’s so rare for the 2nd, 3rd – and so on – to have images alone with their parents! When we welcome the next baby, we don’t want to exclude our older children but at the same time those babies almost never get an image alone. White sessions are the perfect opportunity to spend a few minutes with your youngest.

The eyelashes. The cheeks.
They call these “sitter” portrait sessions because baby is sitting and maybe crawling but not quite standing or walking yet. Babies do this between 7-9 months old give or take and it was probably the most fun part of babyhood for me as a parent. Their little personalities just shine and they cackle when things are funny. They sleep a little more soundly (usually) and their schedule gets a little more predictable but they aren’t quite big or fast enough to be “into everything” quite yet. It’s just a joy all the way around and I’m lucky to get to hang out with these little ones on the daily in my Pasadena MD photography studio. I provide all the props, blankets and wardrobe for babies from newborn to 18mo.
