Pride Mini Sessions 2021
We’ve created an incredible pop art set to commemorate Pride 2021 and raise funds for Baltimore Safe Haven.
Join us for a 15 minute appointment in the studio. The cost is a $200 donation that will go directly to provide opportunities for a higher quality of life for TLGBQ people in Baltimore City living in survival mode.
Your donation will be rewarded with a 15 minute portrait sitting in the studio and includes your choice of 3 digital images.
Grown-ups, families, couples, kids and pets are all welcome. This one is for everybody.
Keith Haring licensed-artwork will be the perfect backdrop for your rainbow gear. This set will benefit Baltimore Safe Haven’s new HIV testing vehicle in keeping with Keith Haring’s legacy of education, prevention and care with respect to HIV/AIDS. Baltimore Safe Haven envisions a world in which every transgender, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and queer person is able to live a healthy, self-determined, and self-sufficient life free from stigma, violence, and oppression.
Images will be returned by 6/1 – in time for virtual pride celebrations.

wizarding baby portraits | pasadena md portrait studio
Photographing milestones like baby’s first chocolate frog might be the highlight of my week. I love building custom sets – like these magical wizard inspired photos – at my Pasadena, MD portrait studio. For this set, I included plenty of thrifted antique suitcases and a trunk, a cornish pixie, Quibbler, wands, Every Flavor Beans, Maurauder’s Map and a little bit of magic. Perhaps the best part was the handmade Weasley jumper in an itty bitty baby size – thank you Lindsey! It really made me wish I had a cold pumpkin juice!
kinder farms park family photography
I love making family portraits at Kinder Farms Park in Anne Arundel County, MD. It’s easy to make a genuine memories when you’re doing the things you’d normally do for fun! Even in winter, Kinder Farms Park has beautiful views and plenty of space for fun.
What’s even better is working with a family who loves big and plays hard. Having a mama and papa who aren’t afraid to be a little silly make for really gorgeous images of real joy.
Spring Mini Session Anne Arundel County MD 2021
We really loved building this set with ivy crawling up the wall to create a storybook vignette. We made it with babies and children in mind but we can squeeze a family portrait into this set as well. Can’t wait to see you there!

Valentine’s Day Box of Chocolates Backdrop Tutorial
Inspired by my favorite Valentine treat (Baltimore’s own Rheb’s jimmy truffles!) I set out to make a one-of-a-kind backdrop for Valentine’s Mini Sessions this year. I got all my materials on Amazon – thanks for using the associate links in this post!

MATERIALS:
Paint:
Balloons in Circle/Heart/Square shapes:
Misc:
Stuff I had: Scissors, straw, paint brushes in various sizes, large moving box. Modge Podge sealer in matte finish
HOW TO:
Step 1: First I planned out the wall by laying out the balloons on the floor. I added my own hot air with a fast food straw but a hand pump would have came in handy.
I attempted to paint some while they were flat but the paint flaked off when I added air.
Even though some were white and pink, I used paint so they wouldn’t appear shiny like the original balloon. Be sure to do this where you have plenty of ventilation. I used a large moving box to contain the balloon so it didn’t move while I spray painted and I didn’t need a drop cloth. The printed balloons needed a couple of coats so leave time to dry and respray.
Step 2: Add sprinkles and icing designs to the balloons with acrylic paint and a paintbrush.
(Optional) Step 3: Allow to dry completely and spray with matte sealer
Step 4: Spray edges with adhesive and press brown tissue paper around the edges as a paper liner.
Step 5: Stick them to the wall! I first tried gaffer’s tape (my best friend in the studio!) to place them on the wall but it failed me! The double sided tape linked below held for 3+ weeks and didn’t leave any residue or take paint off the walls when I removed it!
Did you try this? Let me know in the comments how it went!
P.S. Looking for a matching chair? I love this one – the high sides are great for little babies and big kids alike!

newborn baby photography in baltimore,md
Here are a few of my favorites from this newborn photography session in our Pasadena, MD portrait studio. This little baby looks great in neutral colors for newborn portraits. He came to the studio awake but after a few minutes and that big yawn, he settled right into sleepy newborn posed photos.
