toys for tots | baltimore photographer
When my husband, a Marine Corps veteran, said he wanted to do a Toy Drive this year, I don’t think either of us anticipated the love and generosity that poured out from the community.
This next images includes the toys collected at our Stories with Santa Event. You can see the results of that day of fun by clicking here.

We left a Toys for Tots collection box at our little church, too. Magothy United Methodist is where I was christened and where Zack and I were married. It is the oldest and one of the smallest churches in Anne Arundel County. For having a small congregation, they came out in a big way – doubling our total!

When all was said and done, we counted more than 500 toys! Five HUNDRED! What a joy it has been to join people in our community to help those who are needing it locally. The toys will be dropped off tomorrow at the Toys for Tots warehouse in time to be distributed by Christmas. Thank you! A million times, thank you to everyone who helped make this toy drive such a success. The bar has been set for next year to collect even more!
*Also, thank you to those who SHOPPED locally too! We were happy to see so many supporting small local businesses like Soft and Cozy Baby and Amuse!

baltimore child photographer | madeline is 2
I’m always a few months late with my own kids… but my spunky, silly, sweet Mad-a-wine (as De-why-wa calls her) is 2.
How do I put Madeline into words?
She has always and still does love her big sister more than anything. Where you find D, M is sure to follow.
Never having taken a pacifier (or sucked on her fingers like D), madeline adopted a yellow “bankie” this summer. I love that she wants to take it everywhere. That, and her Monkey.
Madeline still loves “mama nilk” but chocolate almond milk is a close second.
I can still pose her like a newborn when she falls asleep.
She loves to sing, especially Twinkle, Twinkle and the Irish blessing – May the Road Rise To Meet You.
Holding her hand makes anything better – if she’s sad or scared she’ll look for Delilah’s or my hand.
Madeline is a carnivore – she will pick out and only eat the meat off any dish.
Our favorite quotes are when she said “Wook at me!” and “Weave me a-woan”
Her’s a glimpse of her shenanigans…

Baltimore Photos with Santa | Heartlove Photography
What a wonderful day with the Chesapeake Santa. I don’t think we had a single child who wasn’t a little bit hesitant (or absolutely terrified) but Santa was so patient and wonderful that we have great results for every session!
Beyond having great photos – we collected a huge toy donation for Toys for Tots. I’ll get the final numbers in about a week to report exactly how much will be donated – but the value is already over $1000!
Enjoy a summary of the day’s sweet babies, adorable toddlers and some big kids, too – all enjoying the spirit of this magical season with Santa.
It was such a success, I think we’ll make next year a 2-day event. Pin this post or share it on your Facebook page so you’ll have a reminder to book early!
