my reiki cohort

What an absolute treat to host my classmates and mentor last night!  We spent about an hour at the greenhouse taking headshot/brand photos for each of them to use to launch of update their websites, marketing materials, etc.  These women are some of the most incredible, inspirational humans I’ve ever met.

Studying Reiki with Jessica Sharp (https://gentlehandsreiki.com) has been an honor. The past 9 months have been a wild ride and having the knowledge, technique, practice of Reiki to support my family and myself is something I can’t imagine navigating life without.

My classmates were equally supportive on this journey – Cheryl, Grace, Lucia and Sara,  thank you!

Here are too many of my favorite images of them…

Playing in the Rain – Mini Sessions

What’s a Rain Session?
These are outdoor, 15 minute appointments for one child to come to play in the rain. We set up a hose, hand them a bubble umbrella and let them jump, dance and sing. Select wardrobe included for sizes 2T-10/12 -including yellow rain coats, a bubble umbrella and the Little Dreamers Couture dresses you see below. If your child wants to wear their own clothes recommend jeans or jean overalls, bathing suits or any colorful clothes you don’t mind getting rained on!

When and Where?
Sessions are available select dates this summer
in Millersville, MD

We provide the rain via a hose – if the sky is raining we may need to reschedule to protect the camera.

What does it cost?
$150 includes use of couture gown and/or yellow rain coats and choice of 3 digital images. We’ve priced this to sell-out!

Additional digital images, prints and artwork are available in an online gallery. Prices are as follows:

Baltimore Birth Festival 2024

I have too many favorite images to count from this year’s Birth Festival!  I love this yearly event that takes place in May at Patterson Park in Baltimore, Md. It’s an incredible community resource for parents and parents-to-be to network with their peers and nearly 100 local businesses supporting the childbearing years.

I love to be a part of it and I’m honored to photograph it alongside my team!  Team meaning my partners, Zack and Lindsey, my middle daughter, Madeline and my work assistant/2nd shooter, Amanda.

This year we had the extra (read with sarcasm) treat of a flat tire on the way to the festival with a van full of all the gear, tent, tables and chairs. Luckily, Amanda and her husband saved the day and met us with his truck – in the middle of Pennington Ave! It happened just as we were headed over the drawbridge so there was no shoulder.  I’m so grateful that things feel into place – my mom came to pick up Madeline, Lindsey went with the van and the tow truck, me and Zack rode with Eric and Amanda to Patterson park and we were ready with hardly a delay!

Here are a few dozen of my favorite captures from the festival – I can’t wait to see you all again next year!
