Box of Chocolates Mini Sessions | Valentine’s Mini Session Baltimore 2021

With safety in mind, I’ve planned an adorable set for Valentine’s Day this year. This giant wall of candies brought me a lot of joy to create and I hope you’ll love it as well! Booking these sessions is crucial to the survival of my business – if you know someone who loves chocolate as much as I do, please share this with them.

15 minute sessions will result in about 20 images in an online proofing gallery. The session cost is $150 including the session and your choice of 3 digital images. Extra digital images, prints and products may be purchased in the gallery but no additional purchase is required. This set is available for 3 days only.

Your halloween traditions may be disrupted this year but we’ve got a simple-spider-set to record your costumes and fun and help a good cause.

We’ve opened up a few appointments to commemorate Halloween 2020 and raise funds for Baltimore Safe Haven. 

Join us for a 10 minute appointment in the studio.  The cost is a  $50 donation that will go directly to provide opportunities for a higher quality of life for TLGBQ people in Baltimore City living in survival mode.  

Baltimore Safe Haven envisions a world in which every transgender, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and queer person is able to live a healthy, self-determined, and self-sufficient life free from stigma, violence, and oppression.  

If we raise $1500 we can cover the cost of transitional housing for 1 month.  That means a person in survival mode has a safe place to make decisions and plan for their next steps. 

Dates: Friday 10/30 and Saturday 10/31

Cost: $50 donation = 10 minute session (like what you see here!)

fall family portraits in Maryland

There is nothing better than an afternoon walk through the neighborhood in the fall with so many in-between and unscripted moments. Discovering what makes a child smile or focusing on the details that hold their attention. Giving them space to find their own moment is a gift.

The premise behind this session is simple – a family walk, in their neighborhood. I brought one camera and once lens and let the afternoon turn into evening while the kids explored. Father and son pick wildflowers. Sweetie, the cat, following along and stalking the grasshoppers. Baby splashing in the stream.

Twirling, jumping, running, climbing.

This is childhood and this is their greatest adventure.

Photography Mini Sessions | Anne Arundel County Maryland

Mini Sessions are themed sets available for a limited amount of time. Each session lasts 15 minutes and includes your choice of 3 digital images. Sessions are planned in advanced and announced 3-6 weeks ahead of the event with sample images. All of our studio policies are listed in the contract you sign at the time of booking.  

Rescheduling for weather: In the event that it is raining or temperatures are below freezing or above 98 degrees, outdoor sessions will be moved to the studio OR rescheduled for a weekday within 14 days of the original session. 

Rescheduling for illness: In the event that you or your child has a known exposure to illness or is having any symptoms including but not limited to fever, sore throat, cough, vomiting or diarrhea, you must reschedule.  You will be offered another date and time at no additional cost.  The session must take place before 12/31/2021.  Additional information about rescheduling is in the policies (you’ll view and sign them when you choose your appointment time.) Please carefully read all of the information – the system allows for 15 minutes before it will time out.

studio newborn portraits | anne arundel county photographer

My photography studio in Pasadena, MD is kind of like my second home. It’s kid-friendly and gives me the flexibility to photograph newborn sessions with studio lighting as well as capturing unposed, lifestyle images. I love the mixture we have in this session!

I tend to blog a lot of images but I always want people who are considering hiring me to see the variety of images they should expect in a session. This is about half of the images I delivered!

My home and backyard aren’t particularly picturesque here in little Pasadena, MD. Don’t get me wrong – I love and appreciate my home and I cherish the history that 4 generations of my family have made here but visually, it’s not extraordinary. When I started offering vintage truck photo sessions, I tried very hard to find a location that would work for my rusty old truck (that doesn’t even have a key!) and we settled on a little corner of our yard.

It photographs pretty well at just the right angle at just the right time of day but most often my clients drive past the house! They assume we’ll be in the woods or at a farm rather than just 1/4 mile off the highway in the suburbs. Now I tell them you’ll recognize our home because we fly a Pride flag.

Here’s one of my favorite truck photo sessions to date! Two husbands and their 13 year old fur baby, Sadie, made for some of the sweetest moments here yet.
