Reiki Circle

You are warmly invited to join us for a gathering dedicated to healing and connection. I am delighted to host our first ever Reiki Circle, an evening infused with the gentle power of Reiki and the warmth of community.

When: Sunday March 10, 2024 at 7:00 pm  

Where: Heartlove Studio, 8258 Veterans Hwy Ste. 1B, Millersville, MD 21108

This circle is a place where you can freely express, receive Reiki energy healing, and set intentions with the support of a loving community. 

What to Expect:

  • Grounding and balancing mediation
  • Sharing & Intention Setting
  • Energy Healing

Cost: In the spirit of accessibility and community support, this event is pay-what-you-can.  Money collected directly supports the logistics of the event.

Arrive no later than 7:15pm, dressed comfortably.

Spaces are limited to 8 people to maintain an intimate atmosphere. Babies in arms welcome.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐤𝐢 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐤𝐢 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐥𝐞?

Reiki is a healing modality where practitioner channels the energy of the universe to their client to activate their body’s innate healing abilities, facilitate relaxation and promote physical and emotional well-being. Reiki is not a substitute for medical or mental health care.

In a Reiki circle, one practitioner works in a supportive, group setting, fostering a sense of community and shared healing experience.

𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟏𝟎𝐭𝐡:
– Wear comfortable clothing.
– Arrive around 7pm and make yourself a tea, coffee or grab a cold drink/water. Use the restroom and get comfortable in the space.
– The session begins with a short introduction – I’ll explain what you can expect, offer options and give each person a chance to introduce themselves and share their intention for the evening.
– Intros are followed by a grounding meditation and a moment of quiet to help everyone settle in to the circle.
– You may sit or lie down – various style mats and chairs are available but feel free to bring anything you’d like for your own comfort. Move or stretch as you need throughout the session.
– I’ll offer a group healing intention and then work with each person, one at a time, for a few moments. Reiki is transferred by gently placing hands or hovering hands over the body. You’ll have total autonomy over how you receive.
– After the Reiki session, we’ll have a period of sharing, where you are invited to discuss your feelings or any insights. There will also be supplies to journal or draw reflections. You’ll have a choice if/how you participate.
– We’ll chat about carrying this energy back into your daily life and close the circle.

Wardrobe Includes:

You are welcome to bring your own wardrobe but we’re happy to include gown/costume rental.

Gowns fit a minimum of two sizes smaller and larger – so a size 8 will fit a child who wears a size 6, 7, 8 or 10.  A size 14 will fit through adult size small/medium depending on bust. Prince costumes fit true to size.

Please be mindful that your child comes with dry hair, clean hands and face and neutral underwear or bike shorts. I suggest bare feet, ballet slippers or dress shoes that have not been worn outdoors.

Membership is just $65 a month for 12 months and includes 3 mini sessions with 3 digital images each to take place in 2024.

THE INFO:

Make 12 monthly payments of $65 and choose 3 mini sessions in 2024.

You’ll be saving on each session (normally priced between $99-$499 including 3 full-resolution digital images with print release) and have the first choice of dates and times. This affordable package allows families to capture the many milestones of baby’s early years and beyond!

After each session, you’ll have an online gallery with 10-20 retouched images to choose from – often many more! Included in the membership, you’ll download your 3 digital images. Additional digital images, prints and products are available for purchase in the gallery. Pricing included below.

FAQ:

Most sessions take place in and around our studio located or our private greenhouse located in Millersville, MD.

All ages! They are usually intended for babies who can sit unassisted and children/siblings but most sets can be modified to accommodate newborn-6 month olds and families. 

Yes! All family members are welcome – especially those with fur or scales. Just make sure you mention it ahead of time so I can make sure the space is safe for the animal.

Sample images are usually posted 3-4 weeks prior to each session and shared on our newsletter and social media pages.  Part of the reason this is such a great deal is you’ll be trusting me to create the set without seeing it ahead of time.  Some sets will not be built until the day of the session so you may not ever see a preview image.

As soon as you see one you like, book your spot! You can contact Jill directly at info (At) heartlovephotography .com or use the provided links.  Let’s say you choose a holiday set in November and change your mind when you see the summer set – you can switch without issue so long as there is space left. 

Yes! 

Only the person who signed up and their significant others and children may attend sessions with this membership. This does NOT include extended families or cousins.

Sessions last 15 minutes. Almost all children warm up in that amount of time – even if they are usually shy. Older children may not need to stay for the entire 15 minutes.

Late arrivals will forfeit their time – we will stay on schedule for the day. Please plan for traffic and arrive with enough time to get your child ready.

Galleries are ready within 1-3 weeks of your session. We try very hard to deliver holiday-themed sessions before the holiday.

2024 Price List

My studio is fully stocked with all the backdrops, wraps and props you see in images here in my portfolio but I love when parents bring items that are special to their family to their newborn session. 

For this 4th of July baby we did a red, white and blue set, a hiking set and recreated some of her big sister’s newborn photos along with macro images of baby’s tiny fingers and toes and pastel backdrops.

This hiking set was especially fun to work with as they brought the maps from their first hike together and most recent hike as well as other special trips they’ve made.
