Born at just under 3 pounds, this little girl shocked everyone with her early arrival. Only 30 weeks into a healthy pregnancy, her mom came to Maryland on a short trip to visit family and Kaia decided she wanted to be a Maryland baby!
It was an honor to spend a little time with her and document these precious ‘everyday’ moments of life in the NICU.

Laura is my daughter (Kaia, my granddaughter)! Thanks so much for taking the time to take these pictures of some of Kaia’s life in the NICU. It’s be a long, tough road – Laura has been fabulous through the whole thing! Just today, we went down thinking that Kaia was going to be discharged, but unfortunately at 1:30 am, she had another Brady. We all so want Laura and Kaia home but in her own way, Kaia is telling us that she is just not ready!!
